And, so, on the second day of our month-long lockdown, the schools are closed and the streets - not quite deserted. And woe-betide anyone out there who does not comply with the social distancing requirements. It might be safer to just stay home.

As I consider our month ahead, which will still involve me driving my eldest son to army camp, cooking lunches for all of us at home, rejoicing that I have a Redmart order delivery slot, and creating more online content as my students switch to online/video lessons, it dawns on me that today marks 25 years of living and working in Singapore - A Silver Anniversary.

And on that note, I will endeavour to find a silver lining in each new day.
